Looking at this area for example I see three different possible problems
1. way 32219809 doesn't share a common node with 32222437. (They actually do
share a node). That is an example of the type of problem that was very
common after the initial import in southern Alberta (anything near
and south of Edmonton) but was fixed min April (as far as I am
aware)
2. There are 2 nodes at that intersection that have no tags and no ways
attached to them. This is probably a leftover of issue 1, and can be fixed
up by automated means fairly easily (The first I heard of it was a few days
ago when Michel mentioned this).
3. There is a gap (of about 100 meters) between Way 3222437 and 3222433.
When I look at the complete GeoBase file for the area
(http://www.mediafire.com/?rmgcz20uo5d) I don't see these two roads
connecting.
In this case (3) might not be an issue (if the roads don't actually connect)
but this will be a common issue with the imported data where a road segment
gets excluded (often because it is too close to an exisitng road segment).
Manual cleanup by local mappers using the 'complete' or 'excluded' .osm
files is the best solution I've been able to come up with.
Or are there additional problems that I'm not noticing?
