It's definitely possible. The thing seems to be that it's almost as easy
to do a large area as it is to do a small one (well, if there's almost
no data there to start with, anyway).

Thinking about the process (I haven't actually done my first upload
yet), I think that uploading a small portion of a larger area shouldn't
interfere with the eventual import of data in the larger area.
Roadmatcher should just happily match things up, and not upload data
overtop of the previously imported data.

I could do the Courtenay-Comox area, if you (and the others who'd be
mapping in the area) feel it would be benifical to start from a
complete (though perhaps not entirely up-to-date) base of roads. It
could actually be an interesting test to see how locals can update the
things they know are different from the "published" map (whether it be
footpaths joining roads, or new development, or...)

I'd want to finish my import of the South Okanagan before I tackled
this, though. I'd also like some feedback from others on whether I'd be
making more work for someone (maybe myself) later on when the whole
rest of the island gets done.

Comments, anyone?

Austin.
