What: OpenStreetMap Vancouver Island Mappers Group Launch Meetup

Welcome VI Spine Trail (VISTA) members!

The purpose of this meetup is to learn the basics of how you can get
from having your GPS Tracks and waypoints already on your GPS Device.

We will work with you step-by-step, and take as long as we need so to
show you how get from A to B.
and even to C (where you can share your tracks with different websites
like gpsies.com & wandermap.net) and create your own favorite route
that you recommend.

So maybe, (if your lucky) the route that you have already hiked, could
become part of the Vancouver Island Spine Trail. ... but we wont know
for certain until VISTA releases the "official Proposed Temporary
Route" (which i happen to be also working directly on)

Please bring your GPS Device (if you have one) if not, we can print
off a paper map to start with. (we'll probably do that anyway)

Depending on who shows up, from beginner to advanced will set the
stage for what we do.

We all work together, and learn from each other, so it'll be a great day!

I'll go over the latest status for OpenStreetMap Vancouver Island, so
were all up-to-date. And happy to answer any questions you may have.
If others are there who can answer it better, thats even better.

Its an informal gathering, and we can arrange a time/place to meet-up
after were done. (ie the serious coffee out close (north of) to the
Bay Center)
