Yup, in in the Canada Import Status chart. there are 2 columns
GeoBaseroads.osm Complete RoadMatcherExcluded area.osm

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Am70fsptsPF2dG1ZN1YwMmZCVDhDOHZpbUNmOGlvWGc&hl=en

In the 'GeoBaseroads.osm Complete' column, is where i have links to where
the GeoBase-roads-crew stored their files. (i also made copies of them on my
hard drive for backup)

(and BTW, the canvec version of those roads are nestled nicely in the .zip
file, which will be on the NRCan ftp site, with the file name, clearly
indicating that it has extra nodes, and is not as good as what the
geobase-road-crew have produced).

This is to be used as Sam

The wording... think of it this way. You have the geobaseRoads.osm file
open in JOSM, and 'pretend' that this is a layer GPX tracks. You can use it
as a background to adjust the ways to line up better. BUT, with ALSO
downloading the latest GPX tracks layer, so then you can see just more
'precicely' on how much to move it over.

Only if roads are missing, if they are, then ya, copy them in and use the
human informed decisions on how the data is currently in the real-world.

Feel free to call me on Skype (my username is 'samvekemans'). A quick chat
might help :-)
(that goes to anyone out there) :)

Yes, using that file instead of the bigger file, will made it easier to work
with, as this might be part of the 'Great OSM Clean-up project', for those
interested in participating in the fun. Just indicate your 'status' of that
(at least on the BC tab its listed as 'GeoBase NRN Notes'. So then everyone
knows who to blame for the mess (your NOT making), and to complain about how
good the map looks :-)

correct, and a great sugestion perhaps that should be indicated in the the
chart.
