[Talk-ca] CanVec Questions

I guess the important use case here is being able to create diff files
between versions of CanVec import (how often does CanVec get updated?). I
think it would be useful to include the canvec2osm version in the changeset
tags, which I will start doing, but would it also be useful to include the
CanVec version? Is the year of import enough to tell which version was used?

I don't think it's neccessary to import each OSM file separately, as long as
the themes/features imported is clearly stated in the changeset comment
(unless we get automated CanVec diff/merge tools, in which case either
tightly regimented tags or theme/feature uploads only will have to be
enforced). For the files that get split up due to having (currently) 2000
points, importing each osm file individually would probably actually break
any diff tools, since the ordering/position of the split may change.
