What a funny coincidence, I sent the application for Montreal to be host
to the LibreOffice 2013 conference *two days ago*, on behalf of a solid
group of organizers/partners across Quebec province:

I just sent an email to the board of FACIL (http://facil.qc.ca) to
gather/measure interest.

Both conferences seem to have similar size/resources requirements. It
would be relatively simple for me to put this forward to the same
people/organizations that prepared the LibreOffice bid.

If another city is running for this in Canada I'd also love to hear
about it too.
