[Talk-ca] Suggestion for Restructuring of Québec-Sites in Wiki

Hello Everyone,

In the attempt to create a wiki-site for the park in Québec, I stumbled
upon some inconsistencies in Page-Names and Organisation, that I would
like to clean up, if nobody has a problem with it.

1. The Name Convention 'country':'province' eg. Canada:Québec is
sometimes used, sometimes not. I would pledge for not using it, because
it is...
  a) a bit bulky
  b) rarely used in other countries
  c) unnecessary and incomplete structuring in the wrong place. The
information, which city belongs in which province belongs in which
country, should be (IMHO) in the content of the article, not in the
article name.

2. The language name spaces are often not properly used, which makes it
unnecessarily difficult to keep two language versions of articles.

To compare:

French version now is in the main name space (which is English)

My suggestion would look as follows:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/FR:Qu%C3%A9bec

Looking forward to hear your opinion on this!

Niklas (Holzloifer)
