[Talk-ca] REM (Montreal) tagging

I am no expert. One distinction at least is that the skytrain is powered by the rails like a subway, and not from above the train cars like is typical of LRT. Another distinction is that subway use longer trains and LRT shorter ones, and on that the Skytrain use short ones. I guess there will always be a gray zone,
Another angle to look at it is the function in the transit network and the size of that network. For Montreal there is clearly a high capacity subway, and the REM being much lower capacity performs the fonction of a LRT. In Vancouver the skytrain is the highest capacity infrastructure although it has less than the Montreal and Toronto subways.
