Hello,
It's been about 5 years since I have posted a message to talk-ca.
Today I want to talk about the Local Government reform that was enacted in
New Brunswick on January 1, 2023. The reform affected the boundary of
nearly every municipality in the province. I work for the province and I
have lots of knowledge of the boundary changes. However, I am a novice OSM
editor and I messed up access to my OSM account (berniejconnors). Is
anyone interested in assisting me with correcting the local government
boundaries for New Brunswick? Is anybody aware of users that are actively
working on updating these boundaries?
I have checked the OSM boundary for Fredericton and Woodstock.
Fredericton's boundary appears to be updated but Woodstock's boundary has
not been updated. I presume there are many local government boundaries
that need to be updated. First step would be an inventory of all the
boundaries to identify which ones need to be updated. I can see OSM
user "Aleksandar
Matejevic <https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Aleksandar%20Matejevic>" made
changes to the Fredericton boundary 4 months ago.
Thanks,
Bernie.
