[Talk-ca] Searching for moderators for Canada subcategory on OSM Community Forum

As a moderator of the US subcategory on the forum, I encourage Canadian
community members to volunteer to moderate, and I want to provide some
perspective. It's a pretty small commitment—all you need to do is
proactively monitor discussions within the community and respond to
incidents in a timely manner. If you like to stay up to date on community
discussions, and you're confident that other Canadian OSMers trust you,
this is an easy task.

Discourse makes it easy to communicate across language barriers.
Considering Canada is a multilingual country with a monolingual majority,
and posts are written in both English and French on this mailing list, I
have no doubt the translation features would be helpful to the Canadian
community. No machine translation is perfect, but it's certainly convenient.

While the US hasn't given up on its other communication channels just yet,
Discourse has been a good addition to the toolbox. We've been using it more
and more for the kinds of discussions that used to take place on the
talk-us@ mailing list, and it's helped link our local discussions with the
global OSM community.

It's up to y'all. Again, moderating a subcategory is a small commitment and
I encourage you to help out.
