Hi James,

We don't anticipate a large volume of POI edits at the start.  As we also receive a fair share SEO spam submissions, we'll be reviewing each submission before editing. We'll take care to confirm adding a POI is not going to introduce a duplicate and avoid deletions of existing content; including taking lifecycle prefixes into account.

If we run into systemic POI issues from multiple user submissions that result from a real world change, like a chain going out of business, we'll discuss with the community on the best way forward.

Ottawa addresses were from city, and was quite the adventure at that....

My only concern was if they dump POIs but mappers have already some there(some newer than others) and how they will proceed with the conflation of the POIs with TomToms data

In TomTom's endeavor to improve OSM, we plan to conduct edits based on user input and feedback. This activity is the result of checking if feedback received for the TomTom map is also valid for OSM.
