[Talk-ca] Public Transit Relation Validation

Hello,
I made the changes in https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/149110598 and it looks to me now.
On newly-split Ontario Street, lanes=* was wrong: it was correctly set to lanes=2 on the new segment you drew, but remained lanes=4 on the way you split from, while it correctly it is now lanes=2.
It looks like all the newly split ways were added to the public transit relations, but some were added in wrong order: westbound way added as travelled eastbound, or southbound way added as travelled northbound. This affected both directions of South Service Road just east of Ontario Street, and southbound carriageway of Ontario Street just north of the eastbound QEW offramp intersection.
To fix the route I ended up following the relation from the highway offramp, down the streets and through the bus loop and back to the onramp, making sure each of the ways specified was the correct one that the bus would actually drive on. The validator tool linked by Harald would probably have shown you the problem spots: gaps and one-way roads being traversed the wrong way.
Regarding the transit relations, truthfully it was probably not a big deal. It can be repaired fairly easily, it's just menial work. The relations impacted are particularly complicated, because buses travel many of the ways in both directions as they loop through the bus loop and back out onto the highway. And TBH I'm not sure if anything really depends on the relation routing being exactly correct.
I have the impression that iD (the editor you used to make your change) doesn't have great support for public transit relations. I used JOSM and it shows the gaps in route, and warns if I make changes. But I don't know if you want to change editors just for public transit support.
Cheers,
