Honestly potlatch has become far better than it's reputation :D
The German mappers, as far as I can tell from abroad, try not to make
a special German approach to mapping, but to create an universal
international map. There was a discussion some months ago about castle
types, where the German words "Burg" and "Schloss", introduced by an
archeologist into the wiki, were strongly rejected and
translated/transcripted into English even if it doesn't have exact
terms for these words.

The times of "am deutschen Wesen soll die Welt genesen" (imperial
saying) are long gone ;-)

cheers,
Martin
