+1. I think that in a not so far future (maybe already by now) the
main work on the map won't be so much about streets but about all the
other features we put into the maps. I recommend to focus on simple
tools to add and edit this extra information and to refine the already
existent data, rather than start a edit war on editors for tagging
streets ;-). I strongly believe that there should always be some space
for interpretation in which road class a certain road would actually
fit best.

checking recently many of the wiki-definitions and -history I'd say
lots, but really lots of tags and guidelines are actually not invented
in or for a country far away, but from Germans and probably for
Germany ;-)
