Es könnte sein, daß die normalen WMS-Zugriffe wegen Server-Überlastung derzeit wieder gesperrt sind.
Den Hinweis auf http://onearth.jpl.nasa.gov/ gibt es schon mindestens seit Sommer 2008.

Damals hatte ich für das alte WMS-Plugin eine Erweiterung (siehe http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Bomm#JOSM-WMS-Plugin_-_Tiled_WMS) implementiert. Scheinbar wäre das auch für das derzeitige WMS-Plugin sinnvoll, ich kann aber nichts versprechen. Wenn jemand Interesse und Zeit hat, das zu übernehmen, bitte melden.
