Hola Arturo y los demás.


He recibido la respuesta del DataWorkGroup de OSM sobre el excelente
convenio que ha logrado Arturo con DigitalMap. (el correo completo está más
abajo).

En resumen:

1.- En principio sí se pueden usar los datos.

2.- El generador de los mapas (DigitalMap) asegura ser el generador original
y estar de acuerdo con que se usen en OSM.

3.- El generador de los mapas (DigitalMap) estará citado como fuente de los
datos que ellos contribuyen. Esto puede hacerse creando una cuenta de
usuario con el nombre de DigitalMap o con una  etiqueta *source=DigitalMap *y
* source_ref*=paginaweb u otro.

4.- Lo ideal sería que el oficio diga literalmente: "...el vendedor autoriza
el uso de los datos bajo los términos de contribución de OpenStreetMap
Foundation". Aunque parece que sea mucho pedir, sería lo ideal.

5. Buscar una forma ordenada de agregar esos datos, es decir no hacer una
importación masiva. De esto se está discutiendo largo en la lista general de
OSM y el problema es que las importaciones masivas generan muchos problemas.

Así que Arturo, luz verde y dinos cómo te podemos ayudar. Sobre todo ten en
cuenta de no hacer una importación directa para evitar conflictos con los
datos ya existentes. Si necesitas más información, revisa la guía de imports
[1] o pregunta por acá que siempre salen ideas
