In the last 24 hrs I tried 'mkgmap' for a Stafford only map and it
seemed to work OK. (used page from OSM wiki
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mkgmap)
Nice to see stuff that I put up on GPS.
But then followed Andy's suggestion (backed up by mike) and downloaded
UK map (renamed as GMAPSUPP) that seems fine.
Linux sees sd card when I plug in USB cable and go 'menu - setup -
interface - enter'
