Subject: [Talk-gb-westmidlands] New Aerial Imagery

Hi All,

An early Christmas present (well an announcement of one to come). It seems like MapBox has added aerial imagery and is allowing tracing for OpenStreetMap. Europe imagery to zoom level 18 (i.e. zoomed all the way in) to be added in early 2013.

For now you need a basic paid account, but that's not too bad considering the alternatives.

Subject: [Talk-gb-westmidlands] SOTM 2013 bid

I've created a new mail group within mappa-mercia.org to enable us to
communicate about the SOTM bid (and hopefully the delivery) without having
to bombard the OSM list(s) with everything or remember to cc everyone. The
address is sotm13 at mappa-mercia.org
Can you let me know if you are happy to have your email address added to
this list or if you would like a mappa-mercia.org email address instead
(currently Brian, Christoph, Ciarán and myself are the only ones with one).
 
I'll do another email once I think we have the core people agreed to be
added to the list.
