Sorry can't make tonight.
We need to talk about PAF, the Postcode Address File. There is a consultation run by the PAF advisory board which runs from today to the end of the month.
Openly licensing the PAF is not listed as an option.

I will question the validity of the consultation with the Open Data User Group. I hope OSM people will contact PAF as well.
In OSM, Matt Williams has done great work with http://milliams.dev.openstreetmap.org/postcodefinder/

At Open Mercia next Thursday 11th we'll talk about postcodes and open data. If anyone can come and talk about improving OSM postcode data with the open data from the Land Registry or Companies House we might get some input from developers.
