All,

We discussed the Land Reg INSPIRE data yesterday. Should you wish to give
it a go in JOSM set up a WMS layer in the preferences/setting as follows:

http://inspire.landregistry.gov.uk/inspire/ows?SERVICE=WMS&FORMATS=image%2Fpng&LAYERS=inspire%3ACP.CadastralParcel&FORMAT=image%2Fpng&TRANSPARENT=true&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&STYLES=&INFO_FORMAT=application%2Fvnd.ogc.gml&EXCEPTIONS=XML&_OLSALT=0.789927776902914&SRS={proj}&BBOX={bbox}&WIDTH={width}&HEIGHT={height}<http://inspire.landregistry.gov.uk/inspire/ows?SERVICE=WMS&FORMATS=image%2Fpng&LAYERS=inspire%3ACP.CadastralParcel&FORMAT=image%2Fpng&TRANSPARENT=true&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&STYLES=&INFO_FORMAT=application%2Fvnd.ogc.gml&EXCEPTIONS=XML&_OLSALT=0.789927776902914&SRS=%7Bproj%7D&BBOX=%7Bbbox%7D&WIDTH=%7Bwidth%7D&HEIGHT=%7Bheight%7D>

I found it to be slightly misaligned with Bing (although that could be
Bing, rather than the Ordnance Survey), but aligned perfectly with other
Ordnance Survey derived data (namely Millennium Greens from the Natural
England dataset). A Bing offset of 1.51; -1.37 was all that is needed in
Coventry.

Generally the quality looks very good, however when I moved to the city
centre there were lots of odd plots. Checking against historic maps, these
were old plots following previous locations of roads/buildings! See
attached screenshots:

p.s. The placement of the copyright seems to be a choice made by JOSM. The
same copyright text is also shown on data.gov.uk but only in the bottom
right corner.
