The "history" tab on OWL I think should help this problem. Currently the
history is updating but it does work if you zoom in on an area.

As someone who now only visits the West Midlands irregularly, you don't just
need to track where still needs to be surveyed. You need a way of tracking
when an area was last surveyed too. I now live in Clacton, a small Essex
town, where there seems to be a high rate of change of what shops there are.
I mapped most of the shops a few months ago and am aware a few need updating
already (I spot them when driving and can't make notes; when I was last
walking through the town I took a photo of a pie shop I'd never seen before
to update when I got home - and haven't yet). Certain takeaways also seem
prone to change their name at intervals. As you can tell, I don't have a
systematic way of tracking these things, but the area I'm concerned about
probably has many fewer shops than Birmingham.
