Hi Andy,
There is a whole bunch of OS Town Plans available on the National Library
of Scotland website. They are already georectified and served up as tiles
(ready for use in OSM editors). I am in the early stages of getting these
added to iD and JOSM as a series of separate layers.
I note that the British Library are hosting these online so that they can
be viewed over Google Maps [1]. Looking at how this is done, it is clear
that they are tiled (good), however it doesn't appear to be standard TMS
tile naming (bad) [2].
If there is anyone who is able to work out how to get the tiles as TMS then
I can happily add these to OSM editors (assuming British Library are happy
for us to use their URLs - I wouldn't anticipate a great deal of traffic).
Rob
p.s. What is better: (i) a series of layers, one for each plan, or (ii) a
single layer that attempts to stitch these together?
