[Talk-gb-westmidlands] Etrex Legend hcx - still the best in price range

Hi everyone
My trusty Legend hcx has just stopped working - Rubber protection band 
loose and sticky (usual etrex problem) and not powering up. I'm 
contacting Garmin for repair - they've been good in the past !

But if I need to replace it what would you recommend ?
How does the Etrex 30 perform ?
