[Talk-gb-westmidlands] Streams again: Flash Brook, Oldbury/ Smethwick

I've made a relation for Flash Brook:

(the brook was the historical boundary between Smethwick and Oldbury),
but it seems to disappear at its northern end. A friend has suggested
that it might go under the canal in a syphon. Can anyone confirm, or
otherwise shed light on its fate?

And can anyone with local knowledge comment on the dog-leg onto the
playing field at George Betts Primary School? Aerial imagery shows no
water there - is it culverted, or has it been diverted, or both?
