- I seem to have had this stuck in my drafts folder for a while!

https://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/staffs/vol17/pp87-88 This extract seems to describe the flow of thimblemill brook, including where it is culverted. I’m not familiar with the area though. Hope it helps!

I'm trying to make sense of the stream or sreams listed below.

This one:

    https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/171647724

is labelled Thimblemill Brook, and runs westwards to the River Tame;
but a few yards away, this one:

   https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/171553553

is unnamed, but joins:

   https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/171553560

which is also named "Thimblemill Brook" and runs eastwards to:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1825656536

where it disappears. Why? It then flows out of Thimblemill Pool as:

  https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/171553562

before disappearing abruptly. Where does it go?

Do we really have two thimblemill Brooks, rising a few yards apart and
running in opposite directions?
