Setup -> Interface -> USB Mass storage 

If you can't access that, or can't see the buttons you need the latest
firmware from Garmins website.

Ok. That I figured. I have a Garmin Legend CX too, and although I've
been using it fine with gpsbabel, I've never discovered this "mass
storage" mode. How do I activate it?
