The NPEMaps database wasn't automatically importing from FTP, it was a 
manual process, and hadn't been run for a while.

After a bit of tweaking of the import script, it's now scheduled to run 
every night. So in future, your updates to FTP should appear in npemaps 
(and hence the openstreetmap searcher) the next day
