I really do mean it:

    <michael_winner>Calm down, dear!</michael_winner>

It could be resolved and I have every expectation that it will be resolved.
The powers that be _are_ able to modify a general stance. I and several
others have already suggested, directly to them, that they do so.

One of the new OSMF board members (Oliver) has blogged that, at their
meeting the other day, the board resolved to alter the Contributor Terms in
a way that would make them compatible with OS OpenData (and other similar
sources). Whether or not this is accurate I couldn't tell you, but let's
wait a day or two to see the board minutes before getting too worked up
either way.

The OSMF board and working group people are volunteers like you and me and
don't always get things right. They might or might not have got the CTs
right first time, but they do see the problem and they have certainly proved
willing to listen. They don't always get communication right, but, well, I'm
not volunteering to stand for the board and I wouldn't support them
employing a professional for this, so I don't really have any right to
criticise.

Don't always assume the worst. I think we could do with cutting them a bit
of slack, and stopping being such a bunch of stress bunnies about this whole
thing.

cheers
Richard
