Of course.
I wasn't trying to suggest that people shouldn't use the data, just that
some folks might consider the "definitive map", well, err.. definitive!
My concern was that some people might be tempted to "correct" the data
in OSM where it diverges from the definitive map without checking first.

There are many out there. In one of the parishes I waymark there is a
footpath which officially goes through the wall of a barn but everyone
just uses common sense and sticks to the track alongside.
