It appears it's my job to point out every few months that almost all of 
us volunteer our time to OSM. Doing something for free doesn't 
/necessarily/ automatically make it right. It certainly doesn't put it 
above criticism. I fully understand about not being able to set a 
deadline, but the actual amendments being implemented in this major 
update could have been listed a bit clearer. The static image here: 
https://blog.openstreetmap.org/2015/10/30/openstreetmap-org-map-changing/ doesn't 
make them obvious. Is there an explanation page I've missed?


I'm willing to let the new render bed in until I make my full opinion, 
but atm I like the clearer road labelling. Unsure about tertiary being 
rendered white, the same as unclassified although with a different width.

The width applied to the ways appears to have increased slightly at some 
zoom settings. I think they're bit too wide if they're oneway single lanes.

There also appears to be inconsistencies with some woods rendering under 
schools & residential areas, but that might be a delay in rendering some 
tiles.
