TBH, until SK53 mentioned PCR test kits, I had no idea what the
underlying purpose of the PRIORITY stickers were (as a cave-dwelling
knowledge worker :-) ).

My simple mind thought 'tag what you see', hence the reference to
'PRIORITY POST BOX' rather than C19 PCR test kits (although they also
say 'Supporting the NHS' which should have been a clue).
In case you've not seen one, here's an image of TD15 82 which is close
to the A1 (Mapiliary has made a mess of lens correction):

If these stickers are anything like other RM changes, they will be
around for tens of years as removing them would probably strip the paint
back to cast iron!
BTW - Thanks for others on the thread for the extra D-suffix info and,
many extra points for the Ross Anderson link. Reality is sadly complex
and seldom awesome.
