I think I'm entirely in agreement with what you're saying here. But
(if I've understood you correctly) the way you're writing the
addresses isn't how we'd do it in the UK, which may cause confusion to
readers.
For the former, we'd write: "The Nest, 14 Main Street" (meaning house
number 14 on "Main Street" is called "The Nest")
For the latter, we'd write: "14 The Nest, Main Street" (meaning
flat/unit 14 in a building/complex called "The Nest", which in turn is
on "Main Street")
I think this distinction between addr:unit and addr:housenumber is
really important when it comes to interpreting and rendering
addresses. It's something we need to be really sure everyone is on the
same page with.
