Stiles are, for very good reason being phased out, as budgets allow.

A useful streetcomplete question that is going to occur more often is
it is not a stile anymore and whether it has been replaced by a gap, a
gate or kissing_gate.

In my part of the world it is now very rare to find a stile on a short
walk from a settlement. Stiles are becoming the preserve of the long
rural paths where on hardened ramblers go.
