To quote what HM Land Registry say on every title plan:

   "This title plan shows the general position of the boundaries: it
    does not show the exact line of the boundaries. Measurements scaled
    from this plan may not match measurements between the same points
    on the ground.

The UK does not operate a system of precisely surveyed land
registrations like a typical cadastral system.

Rather titles are basically just shown by lines scrawled on an OS map
in the rough area of the boundary...
