As a Trail Rider, I feel it's important to differentiate tracks & paths
that are UCR's, over the common or garden other unsurfaced rural ways that
are generally private. I'm sure you are all aware of the contentious
legality of these, but this question is about tagging....
Using Richard's https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Rjw62/PRoW_Tagging as
a guide, I have been using the tag *designation=unclassifed_highway*.
Another user has stated in a changeset comment, that this is just a
personal page, and I should refer to
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:designation#Rights_of_way_in_England_and_Wales
Easy to criticise, but the latter, is not specific in any way, when it
comes to UCR's. Damned if I do , damned if I don't, maybe ?
I'm happy to follow convention, notwithstanding the fact that taginfo shows
over 3,500 occurences of the above, but right now, for a UCR, if what I'm
doing is wrong, then what's right?
Can I ask if this is the right arena to get the guidance RoW Wiki updated?
