[Talk-GB] traffic island mapping / harmful detail?

I certainly split roads for staggered crossings. From a pedestrian and
cycle routing perspective it is relevant to know whether people have to
wait for one or two separate crossings.
Splitting ways for simple traffic islands is a bit like mapping separate
sidewalks along every road. I don't do it because it's micro-mapping which
creates lots of extra complexity and hassle for little gain, but I don't
think it's 'wrong' as such. Hopefully in the distant future we'll have the
whole country micro-mapped.
