Hello everyone,
I've done a bit of tidying of the "Three Choirs Way" superrelation
https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/112661 and have removed some odd
ways that had got added to it, leaving just the three relations:
* Relation Three Choirs Way (Gloucester to Hereford) (3149262)
<https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/3149262>
* Relation Three Choirs Way (Hereford to Worcester) (3149263)
<https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/3149263>
* Relation Three Choirs Way (Worcester to Gloucester) (3149264)
<https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/3149264>
So far so good, but there are also these shorter relations that claim to
be the same thing in the same area:
-6168636 | Three Choirs Way (Gloucester to Kilcot) 06:00
-6168637 | Three Choirs Way (Kilcot to Woolhope) 07:00
-6168640 | Three Choirs Way (Woolhope to Withington) 09:00
-6168639 | Three Choirs Way (Withington to Stanford Bishop) 10:00
-6168638 | Three Choirs Way (Stanford Bishop to Worcester) 11:00
-6168641 | Three Choirs Way (Worcester to Malvern) 01:00
-6088563 | Three Choirs Way (Malvern Hills) 03:00
-6088565 | Three Choirs Way (Hollybush to Gloucester) 05:00
The "times" on each line above are roughly where they would be on a
clock face with North at 12:00.
Does anyone know if these shorter relations constitute "official
sections" (and therefore deserve to stay with the longer duplicates
removed) or if they are just later-created duplicates of the three
relations above?
I'm asking here because the original adder of these routes is long gone
from OSM, and everyone and their dog has had a go at editing them
since. I'm guessing I can just delete the 6xxx series of relations
above (after checking that there are no gaps in the 3xxx series), but
wanted to make sure first.
Best Regards,
Andy
