They are really common, most commonly selling egg whilst others
specialise in homemade jams and chutneys. Others sell garden plants.

I haven't bought eggs from a shop for years.

I have never mapped these, one of the reasons being reliability. I
often visit a few to find eggs. They may sell veg, but then it they can
disappear for months.

Since the pandemic these are the main reason I need cash, I did
withdraw cash from the Post Office recently in coins for this purpose.

I guess the tag payment:honesty_box=yes would describe it, generally
payment:cash and in most cases payment:coins.

Availability of change is another issue, most have a fixed moneybox to
put coins in, notes if you need a lot. Others its just a box (usually a
takeaway box) where you may be able to get change.
