I too have often wondered what makes a route one that should be added as a
relation ... I do see "routes" in mid Wales that appear to be a record of
someone's Sunday walk, but hard to prove.
If I take this random example I found in Switzerland, called "Hiking trail
in need of a better name". Its broken, it appears to traverse port and
railway areas, takes in a busy road, and is quite short ....

candidate for deletion ?
