I've come across bicycle lockers that need your own lock, for example
at the Barnes Wetland Centre. But I haven't come across (and can't
quite imagine) one where the lock is provided for you.

The example linked to from the ticket doesn't look to me like a locker
where a lock is provided - it looks more like a cage around a set of
parking stands, so more like "private bike parking" where there's no
lock (for your bike) provided, but there is a lock (for the compound)
provided. But the picture is unclear to me.

So I'm not quite sure that these two situations are really two sides
of the same coin, but I'd love to see some examples of the
"bicycle_lock=provided" so we can get a better picture.

Finally, bicycle_lock = bring_own is perhaps the wrong tag for the
bicycle locker - a plain text reading of "bicycle lock - bring own"
would apply to regular sheffield stands. As far as I can tell, we're
discussing the need to bring your own lock for the locker, rather than
the bicycle. Using the Wetland Centre again, there they have lockers
(the door needs your own lock) and inside each locker is a solitary
sheffield stand (which need your own lock) and you can lock either or,
as I do, both.

Thanks,
Andy
