[Talk-GB] Pavements (footways/sidewalks) mapped as pedestrian areas AND footways

I agree with Andy Townsend here. I believe that highway=pedestrian is a
terribly misused tag. On the wiki the short description is "Roads mainly /
exclusively for pedestrians". I therefore only use it for centrelines along
pedestrianised streets or genuine squares.

Using it as an area along a pedestrianised street is wrong in my opinion.
Either use a tag like Andy suggested or don't map the area at all (mapping
the buildings on either side and the Centreline of the pedestrianised
street is sufficient).

Using it as areas for pavements (as in this thread) is clearly wrong in my
mind.
