Does OSM have a concept of a natural (ie, not man-made) track? If it 
exists permanently (or, at least, as a relatively stable feature), then 
I agree it should be mapped, but it should be mapped as a land feature 
rather than as a highway.

The wiki doesn't list anything which, at first glance, looks suitable 
(although I'm only going by the summaries, I haven't read each 
individual page). Maybe this is something which needs to be considered 
as a future tag.

On the other hand, is it actually a stable feature? Animal tracks are 
likely to vary according to all sorts of factors, and trying to map them 
may well be a futile cause anyway. For reference, OS doesn't map this 
one, so presumably they don't consider it a stable land feature.
