Hi,

You won't find many "grassy meadows" as open access land. It tends to be 
scrubby moorland where only the sheep do much skipping. If you stray off 
the established paths you are more likely to be picking your way through 
the boggy bits, brambles and gorse.

Admittedly there are often more paths than are actual PRoWs, and most of 
them are shown on OSM.
