[Talk-GB] Village sign tagging schema

Village signs seem to be only patchily tagged, so I'm considering 
filling in a few round here. Before I do, though, I wanted to ask 
whether there was a consensus tagging schema (or whether we could agree 
one if not)...


I've found quite a few tagged with
    man_made=village_sign
though this value is not listed in
     https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:man%20made?uselang=en

Many have
    name=*
which seems reasonable, though I do slightly worry that it might end up 
with villages being labelled on the map with their name several times!

Some also have
    tourism=artwork
though perhaps this is a bodge to get something to render on the default 
map? See e.g. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/6341816268

There are also a selection of other tags
    colour=*
    material=* (typically "wood" or "metal")
    description=*
and probably others, I haven't done an exhaustive search.
