[Talk-GB] OSM UK address project: tags - Updated guidance

 Hello Rob/all, I've been following (or trying to follow!) this thread with
interest, as a lot of my local mapping effort has included the addressing
of delivery points (which I can make practical use of).

Could you clarify (or maybe cite) the statement "The definition in the wiki
is that 'unit' is for a single address whilst 'flats' is for multiple (e.g.
1-6)"? The Key:addr:flats
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:addr:flats> wiki page says "If
there is only one flat, the tag addr:unit
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:addr:unit>=* is normally used in
USA instead." This seems more of an observation than a direction and in any
case is not applicable to the UK.

My own opinion FWIW is that I would prefer the same tag for both individual
and multiple cases, if they describe the same 'thing'. If they don't, then
we should first clearly disambiguate 'unit' and 'flat' before advocating
the changing of current tags. I'd be interested to know what others think.

Rick
