Hi Nathan,

If it doesn't have any other name, why not? How do path names get 
established in the first place?

If there are several waymarkers I would use the most local or shortest 
way which is marked with the local highways authority branding. 
Obviously if the path is clearly signed with some other name I use that. 
I don't know about other parts of the country, but here it's very 
unusual for any path outside urban areas to have a name sign, just the 
waymarkers.
