Several map lint tools have the same issue, and it's not just canals 
that have disconnected access bridges (although the stone bridges on the 
Macclesfield are a particular favourite...).

Thinking more widely, test tracks like MIRA tend to be connected, but 
there are a few horse training gallops out there (leisure=pitch).
