[Talk-GB] Mapping from a survey

We have mapped extensively using ODK to map plots in Refugee settlements in
Northern Uganda. Our communuty surveyors walked their plot boundaries with
a hacked version of ODK, originally developed for surveying drains in Dar
Es Salam (OpenDTZ/HOT).
GeoODK was not developed enough by then, but a rummage around current ODK
options might be perfect for this project.
I'm away from my desk right now, but happy to provide links and details
where I can. It's all documented, so the OSM wiki is a good place to start,
too.
You can write the survey relating to the track/closed polygon on a
spreadsheet using xpath logic. Then you upload to a server, then
phone-download as an app-ready survey.
Again, I'm happy to share all I have with you. We used ODK point
mapping/community derived surveys in South Wales recently with good
success, so it's quite fresh in my head.
Hope this can be helpful.
Best,
Rupert
