Will do.

The article says "Gridserve has replaced all of the old Ecotricity
chargers on its network" which I think means they've replaced every
device, or at the very least re branded them.

So, I can't confirm, but the article suggests so.

A few things, in general, not specific to this edit.

Maybe ideally every OSM object should be updated the day the real world
changes. But that's not the situation we are in. We have to decide if
we want to actively change them (maybe early for some %), or have them
sitting around forever (We still have some Poundworld POIs, 5 years
later).

OSM should be "verifiable on the ground", but everything needs OSM
domain knowledge and local knowledge. So if something has changed, and
we have the local knowledge to know that, but an old sign is still
there. Should we change it? name gets a little weird, but
brand/operator I think so, we shouldn't leave something wrong when we
know it's wrong.

And it gets really fuzzy thing with things like operator. It can change
with a piece of paper, and they probably don't even maintain them
directly, but contract out to other companies. All it is, is who
collects the profit.

I think this varies by company. AFAIK, all banks take down the fascias
really quickly when they close, because branding is important to them.
I would assume that a new company that wants to grow its brand would do
it quickly too, but who knows, your local shop clearly doesn't care
about it's brand.
