Hi everyone,
My team at TomTom has created a new MapRoulette challenge to help our editors make improvements to OSM in the UK. It's called "Fix Intersecting Buildings<https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/43725>", and each of the tasks in the challenge points to a location where multiple buildings overlap on the same level. One of several possible actions may be needed to make sure the situation is correctly mapped, for instance:
* The building outlines should be corrected as the buildings do not overlap in reality.
* A location=underground tag should be added to a building since it's located below the ground surface.
* The tagging on an object should be corrected because it's not a building.
* etc.
More detailed guidelines are in the description of each task.
The challenge currently contains 500 tasks, but we identified over 13,000 potential issues in total, so we will be adding more over time.
Our editing team may work on this challenge in a couple of weeks or so. It is also open to other interested mappers. To track the edits resulting from this challenge, you can use this OSMCha filter<https://osmcha.org/?aoi=ec22d1ca-c463-4968-9894-386bfb3b0df2>.
If you have any questions or comments, let me know.
Have a lovely week,
Marjan
